Ministry Description |
St Paul’s United Church of Christ in Delano, Minnesota is seeking a ½ time settled pastor. Delano is located 30 miles west of Minneapolis. Our congregation will be celebrating its 146 anniversary this year and is a progressive, Open and Affirming congregation. We embrace diversity and service to the community. Our faith in action includes support of our local food shelf, support of Love INC, support of the Delano Diversity Task Force, hosting a bi-monthly Cultural Awareness/Immigration Issues Supper, hosting a Native Spirituality Speaker, hosting Neighborhood Night Out, and providing a facility for AA meetings. We have invited a Best Buddies Friendship in Minnesota ambassador to share their story in our worship service. Our missions beyond our local support include Second Harvest Heartland, The Division of Indian Works (MN), and Annandale Art & Textile Center vocational weaving. Our world mission is centered on Teamwork Africa. Our church sponsors several girls through the STARFISH Program providing education in Libera We provided financial support for the building of three wells in Liberia. St Paul’s is a 5 for 5 UCC congregation. St Paul’s is a small church with a mature congregation. We embrace who we are today and recognize our uniqueness. We desire a pastor who will lead us in continuing to create, renew, understand, proclaim, love, and serve. |
