Ministry Description |
Trinity UCC Mt. Penn is searching for an experienced Intentional Interim to shepherd us through the process of discerning our next Solo Pastor as our current Solo Pastor retires after 40 years of service. We seek a strong leader to guide us through our season of change with compassion and wisdom, a Biblically-based preacher, one who will joyfully accompany us in this faith journey. Currently, we are a 199-member church located in southern Berks County, an area rich in varying cultures and history. We see ourselves as a small congregation in a season of change within our walls and beyond. We cling to the Word, specifically Isaiah 64:8 “Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand” (NIV). Trinity is moving towards becoming a new creation, a dynamic masterpiece, ever-changing and robust. Taking our vision to heart, “A caring community of Christ’s followers helping people come to know Jesus through the Word of God,” we envision an Intentional Interim Pastor willing to nurture and enhance our community relationships in order to strengthen Trinity’s impact beyond our walls. We look forward to a collaborative relationship, steeped in the Gospel tradition of holy discernment, compassion and wisdom. |
