Ministry Description |
Our current Senior Pastor is departing at the end of June, 2024 after 16 years in that role. We are seeking an Interim Minister and Head of Staff to provide pastoral duties, including, preaching and leading worship, pastoral care, spiritual formation and teaching, and administrative leadership with a staff of approximately 20. We are looking for a compassionate and collaborative leader who brings a strong commitment to and comfort with racial and social justice and will support our ongoing work and journey in becoming an anti-racist church, and be supportive of our homeless ministries and environmental justice work. We also look for the individual to lead us as we " prepare the way" to call a new settled senior minister. The person seeking this position may also represent the church within the United Church of Christ, and within a range of ecumenical and interfaith partnerships. Candidates need to have a Master of Divinity Degree, be ordained in good standing in the denomination or an ecumenical partner denomination with at least ten years experience in parish ministry, including a demonstrated track record in pastoral and administrative leadership. |
