Welcome to the search for an interim pastor at Guilford Community Church, nestled in the heart of picturesque Guilford, Vermont. Our church, an Open and Affirming/Just Peace congregation, stands for faith and unity in this rural community. Guilford Community Church, with a history dating back to 1756, has a membership of 100 and an average weekly attendance of 45-50. We are widely known for our music program, featuring both vocal and instrumental talents. At the core of our musical tradition, the "9 o'clock" choir sings every Sunday often with new compositions and arrangements. In 2020 we bid farewell to a beloved long-term pastor and then navigated through challenges leading to the departure of our most recent pastor. We are now feeling a renewed sense of purpose as we enter this transitional phase. Our church's spirit is evident through recent developments such as the creation of a small group visitation choir, the revival of the Women's Retreat and the Men's Breakfast, and the installation of a beautiful Community Park on .7 acre of the church property. www.guilfordcommunitypark.org As we embark on this search, our church community hopes to continue to be welcoming to All showing love, humility, and generosity, following in the footsteps of Jesus.
