Ministry Description |
This is a 3-year term position funded through May 2026. This position is part-time, 25 hours/week with benefits. The Faith Education, Innovation and Formation team has been the recipient of a sizeable Lilly grant that allows the United Church of Christ to take an in-depth look at children’s ministry and design a new model that is alignment with the grant’s goals and the denomination’s priorities and theological values. Over the course of three years we will research, create, and test the initial design for Love of Children that was submitted as part of the grant proposal, while taking into account best practices and what we learn along the way. The Assistant Project Administrator will help to create this new model of ministry that allow congregations to work towards a new designation of ministry (akin to Just Peace, ONA, etc.) for children while equipping children’s leaders to nurture their youngest members. This position will rely on strong administration and organization skills to accomplish key tasks along the way. In addition, the assistant program director will help to plan, research, and implement the strategies and programs.
