Ministry Description |
We, at Slatersville Congregational Church, are looking for a full-time settled pastor to help guide us into the future. We are seeking a partner to help us grow in size and impact. We are searching for a pastor who will lead with empathy and demonstrate clear and effective communication skills. We value our history as seen through our re-telling of stories, music, and annual Missions activities. Our congregation enjoys opportunities to be involved in services by way of lay readings, offering joys and concerns, special music, and participation by children. We are looking for guidance to make changes over time to increase our visibility in the community, honor our Open and Affirming status, and further our Missions outreach. In the past we have enjoyed ecumenical activities with neighboring faith communities and would like to re-establish these relationships. We are looking to collaborate with our new pastor to find the balance between honoring our past and moving into our future in order to be a thriving leader of faith in our community for years to come. We come together as a congregation from a number of towns to practice our faith together with the common goal of living our lives in the path set forth by Jesus Christ. We look forward to finding the person who God will guide us in finding to help us continue to grow in our faith as individuals and a community. |
