Ministry Description |
Interim Profile to be posted as soon as it is available. The Detroit Lakes Congregational Church is looking for a full time Interim Pastor. We are an open and affirming church with a 150 year history in this community. Detroit Lakes is a year round recreation, arts, and entertainment draw in the Northwest Lakes Region of Minnesota. Activities are available in this beautiful area for all ages, in all seasons. Compensation includes a top level salary, housing allowance, a benefit package and complies with Conference guidelines. Central to our service, we mix traditional and contemporary music and have a thriving choir and worship band. We are proud of the fact that we have supported Conference programs for many years. That is attested to by our donations to the 5 for 5 offerings during the year. As part of ministerial service, the Sunday service is critical to our members, as some are unable to attend weekly. Therefore, we post the service on YouTube. Sermons with a touch of humor along with connection to the congregation are important. We need the interim to identify where God is calling our church in the future. Also we need help reflecting upon the history of this church to discern what strengths we want to bring into the future Our hope is to have this position filled in the next month. |
