Ministry Description |
The Old Meeting House is a vibrant church community located in Central Vermont seeking a full-time Settled Senior Pastor. The Old Meeting House is a healthy congregation which is passionate about our open and affirming status, welcoming all no matter where they are on their spiritual journey, and helping those in our community and beyond with mission work, financial assistance and loving care. We have a stunning historic church building that is nearly 200 years old and has been impeccably maintained in near original state, with an architecturally lovely restored Parish House adjacent to it. Our music and Arts Ministries programs are dynamic, vital and valued by all who attend our church services and Arts events. The Old Meeting House has strong lay leadership, assisting the Pastors in leading the programs of the church. The Old Meeting House is a dynamic congregation with many young families as well as those who have been worshiping here for over 50 years. We respect and accept each other as individuals—our uniquenesses, our imperfections, our differences. We look to be challenged, to explore what it means to be fully human, to grow spiritually, to laugh, to cry, to grow together in community. We are looking for an energetic, articulate, vibrant leader who will lead our church community in growing toward new and exciting possibilities we can’t yet see. We are seeking someone who possesses the gifts to start where we are and take us forward into the future as seekers of the abundant spiritual life. |
