At the Pinedale Community United Church of Christ we are travelers, we are homebodies, we are traditional families and non-traditional ones. We’re young and we’re old. We suffer and laugh. We are political, non-political and apolitical. We seek unity. We are very human. We are ready for the deep water, as we cannot keep doing the same thing and expect different results. We don’t want to travel the path of a dying church, but rather a church that continues to serve our community in new and generous ways, that works to relieve the isolation of those struggling and alone; and is the safe place for all those seeking the light and constancy of God’s love. We want our church to feel like home, yet nudge people to action. We want the joy of truly living in community. We have faith in the promises of God and trust that a bold creative leader will choose to join with us to share in this ever evolving ministry. |
