Ministry Description |
St. Paul UCC is searching for a full-time settled pastor to lead our congregation. We have been active in the small-town community of Oak Harbor for 141 years. We offer traditional Sunday morning worship services as well as Christian Education classes for all ages. Members serve the congregation through participation in Visitation Teams, Abend Women’s Guild, Bible Study, Sunshine Choir, Youth Choir, Senior Choir, Handbell Choir and Food for Friends programs. The call to mission has always been strong at St. Paul UCC, with partnerships in the community, across the country and world. Our Associate Pastor leads the youth program, Christian Education, and the church gardens that supply produce to the BCS Food Pantry housed in our church building. The vision of our church includes an increased presence in our community by offering resources for all ages as well as reaching out to expand our church membership and activity. St. Paul UCC is located in a rural community in Ottawa County, equidistant between Cleveland and Detroit. The NW Ohio area provides a rich diversity of educational, recreational, and cultural opportunities. The local school system takes pride in its designation as an Excellent Ohio Public School. Oak Harbor offers a warm small-town atmosphere conducive to raising a family. St. Paul UCC is a very active and caring faith community that is eager to welcome a new Senior Pastor to our church family! Our members truly relate to each other as a Christian Family in a small town with a big heart. |
