Ministry Description The newly-created Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ (SNEUCC) seeks an Executive Conference Minister (ECM), lay or ordained, with a proven track record of innovative leadership. The ECM will help the Conference live into its bold vision of shared church life, empowering the church to follow Jesus in making God’s love and justice real. As the CEO of the new Conference, the ECM will be the bearer of and advocate for the core vision, mission, and identity of the Conference. The ECM will also be the chief communicator, strategist, and philanthropic officer, partnering with all within and beyond the Conference who are working for the common good in their local communities and throughout the world. Please contact Rev. Lee Albertson, UCC Conference Minister Search Coordinator, to submit profiles or resumes with a cover letter (optional) at the contact information above. Applications will be accepted through April 17th, 2020. We especially encourage persons of color, LGBTQ+ identifying individuals, women and persons from other marginalized communities to apply. The Conference provides equal employment opportunities and does not discriminate in employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, color, religion (except insofar as ordination or religious background may be a qualification for a position), sex, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or gender expression, pregnancy, genetic information, military status, or any other class or status protected by law. This policy governs all aspects of employment, including prospective employment and the application and interview process, selection, job assignment, compensation, discipline, termination, and access to benefits and training.
