Ministry Description |
We hope our next pastor will be an authentic follower of Christ Jesus, who encourages the church in all ways to be faithful followers of the Way. We expect the pastor to give loving, joyful attention to the “In-reach” and “Outreach” ministries of the church, encouraging members to be inviting and hospitable to all people. We expect the pastor we call to lead joyful worship services while at the same time leading the congregation in lament when sorrow, suffering, and injustice break into our life in the congregation and in society. We expect the person we call to have a strong preaching ministry, to immerse one’s self with the congregation and the community. We expect the pastor we call to give caring attention to persons in need within the congregation and others with whom she/he comes in contact. We expect the person we call to help in the teaching ministries of the church and the community formally and informally. We are ready to partner with a pastor who can move us forward. |
