Ministry Description |
We strive to be a church where everyone feels safe and welcomed. We appreciate a traditional style of worship for a bit of calm and reverence in a chaotic world, but recognize the need for adaptations to ‘fit in’ with the modern community. We are looking for settled pastoral leadership who will provide consistent meaningful worship experiences and guidance in our efforts to fulfill our Mission Statement: “We at Community United Church of Christ will love the Lord our God and our neighbor, serving both with all our heart, soul, mind and strength through local and global missions.” Our ideal pastor will display a genuine desire to attend to the personal needs of our members, particularly in the areas of Bible-based worship, visitations to the sick & elderly, and guidance for our Christian education programs and missions/community outreach activities. We also value a minister who will become an integral part of our community at large, helping us to build connections with Village residents and seasonal visitors alike, as well as integrations with neighboring UCC congregations working to expand our programs through combined resources. |
