Ministry Description |
First Congregational Church of Akron, an Open and Affirming congregation, seeks an Associate Pastor who will work collaboratively with the Senior Pastor to facilitate worship, nurture discipleship, and foster community engagement through intergenerational faith formation, social justice initiatives, coordinating children's ministries, and worship planning. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, justice-oriented person who thinks creatively about faith formation and community impact, is committed to working toward equity, and a willingness to partner with the Senior Minister and lay leadership. Akron is located in northeast Ohio, offering access to excellent education and business opportunities, home to stunning metroparks and close proximity to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It's proximity to large cities host diverse entertainment and culture, including professional sports teams, performing arts facilities, a variety of museums and more. |
