Ministry Description LIVING WATER ASSOCIATION, of Ohio North East (LWA ONE), Heartland Conference United Church of Christ is a community of 135 congregations who come together in the Holy Spirit to Be the Church, striving to embody Christ in our 21st century world. Our ministry purpose as an Association is to be a resource and support for the health and wellbeing of our Local Churches, Authorized Ministers, and UCC wider church agencies, that we may grow into communities of healing and grace and embody Christ in the world. The Minister for Faith Engagement (MFE) is an Associate Minister on the staff of the Living Water Association. We believe healthy leaders cultivate healthy congregations, and healthy congregations become communities of healing, grace, and transformative witness. This role reports to the Association General Minister and will complete our dedicated staff. This position takes lead on the Association's signature Faith in Action initiative, helping congregations connect faith with meaningful action through leadership development, justice ministries, and community engagement. The Minister for Faith Engagement also provides key leadership to the Committee on Ministry (COM), supporting Members in Discernment and candidates for authorization, developing our elected leaders, and elevating the policies and practices of the COM. Residence within or relocation to the geographic bounds of the Living Water Association is expected. We are seeking a collaborative, visionary minister who is inspired by equipping the Church for faithful leadership, courageous justice, and vibrant ministry in a rapidly changing world.
