Ministry Description |
First Congregational UCC is seeking an Associate Director of Music Ministries to work collaboratively with our Director of Music Ministries to lead our engaging music program that supports the worship, fellowship, and faith formation of our congregation. Our full time Director of Music Ministries has a multiplicity of gifts – piano and organ performance and accompaniment, program administration, and choral direction. Our program is robust, however, and requires one full time and one half time position. Recognizing the breadth of the ministry, we are open to a variety of staffing models. Responsibilities will be delegated according to the gifts, experience, and interests of the successful candidate. We seek a church music professional who is passionate about worship, committed to nurturing musicians of all ages, and excited to build upon an already strong and thriving music program. This part-time position (20 hours/week) offers the opportunity to work alongside our Director of Music Ministries, helping lead and nurture music ministries for all ages. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with volunteer musicians, supporting worship through music, and helping our congregation continue its rich musical tradition. While experience directing children’s choirs, youth handbells, or accompanying on piano and/or organ is welcomed, we’re open to candidates with a variety of gifts and experiences in church music ministry.
