Ministry Description Northshore United Church of Christ is nestled on 4.33 wooded acres in the peaceful Seattle suburb of Woodinville, Washington. Founded in 1980, our church building was constructed in 1984 by members of the congregation. At its entrance stands our distinctive "Dancing Jesus" sculpture, designed by our founding pastor and assembled by the congregation as a symbol of our identity as a "Band of Many Persons." It continues to inspire and welcome all who enter. Music is central to our life together. Our vibrant music ministry enriches worship and extends our witness into the community. A cherished tradition is closing worship by singing the "Face of God" blessing and a sung benediction to one another. Serving our neighbors has always been at the heart of our ministry. For more than twenty years, we have opened our grounds during the warmer months to provide a safe place for unhoused neighbors. We are currently hosting Camp United We Stand, continuing our long commitment to compassionate hospitality. At Northshore UCC, community is more than a value. It is who we are. We care deeply for one another, offering meals, transportation, visits, prayers, and support through life's joys and challenges. While we do not always agree, we strive to treat one another with love, respect, and grace. We celebrate together, laugh together, and welcome others into our church family. We seek a settled pastor to lead and nurture our "Band of Many Persons." We hope for a compassionate, approachable leader who is an engaging preacher, thoughtful listener, and caring pastor. We value someone with a sense of humor, strong pastoral presence, and a heart for outreach. As an Open and Affirming congregation, we seek a pastor who celebrates diversity, helps us deepen our relationships within the wider community, and inspires us to continue growing so that more people will find a place within our Band.
