Ministry Description |
We are looking to be a viable, forward moving church with a vision to make our presence known in the community through maintaining our involvement with Betty Lou’s Pantry. Recently; among many others, these are a few of the local organization we have helped, The Kindness Project; Allentown Soup Kitchen; Easton’s Children’s Home; and the Ripple Community Home as lead through our women’s group within the church. In the past we have opened our doors to New Vitae, an organization that provides day programming to Veterans diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury. A layperson of the congregation is providing a grief support group to our members once a month, while another individual member offers both chair and mat yoga to our members – even opening this up to the community this past Fall and continuing into this new year We want to continue to ever expand our mission into areas not yet explored where we can show God’s love through service while growing in congregational numbers. In order to gain more momentum toward this ministry, we need to grow in numbers within our own congregation by engaging the local community. This is a growth area for us. Currently we have average attendance of 30 members attending weekly but would like to see numbers of 70-90 worshippers or above attend on a weekly basis and look to work in partnership with a Pastor toward this goal. In the future we would like to re-establish age specific programs. For all of this to occur, we feel strongly that having a solid leader who can direct us and provide us with other ideas, dreams, or engage us in imagining the unimaginable, would be of most benefit while also assisting us to sustain our Faith as we persist in our journey, acknowledging we are an every-changing, ever-growing work in progress. |
