Ministry Description |
Thank you for your willingness to listen to the Spirit of our still-speaking God, who may be calling you to serve as an Associate Conference Minister in Wisconsin. We are a hearty and joyful Conference comprising 204 congregations in three ACM-staffed regions. We take seriously our covenant relationships and cherish the connections among our diverse congregations and across our state’s varied geography. We care deeply about our clergy and thus encourage lifelong learning, particularly through our vibrant Communities of Practice program. We also strive for congregational wellness, prioritizing support in times of transition and turmoil and providing opportunities for transformation. We often experience this covenantal connection through our three beautiful Outdoor Ministry settings and our online learning platform, the Damascus Project. The Wisconsin Conference is a place where people have a deep sense of pride and identity rooted in simple Midwestern values and the love of Jesus. We are a purple state, and our eight justice working groups advocate and resource local congregations through the gospel values Jesus taught. ----- We are seeking a qualified UCC-ordained minister with a pastor’s heart to serve the Northern Region of the Wisconsin Conference beginning after Easter. This ACM will have primary support and resource responsibilities for 58 congregations and will offer relational and ecclesiastical care to the authorized ministers in the region. The geographical scope of this position covers the entire Northern Region. (See Landscape of Ministry and accompanying map.) This ACM will also resource and support our Unified Committees on Ministry and assume some programmatic and project responsibilities in collaboration with the Conference staff.
