Ministry Description |
The First Congregational Church of Rutland, MA fosters an inclusive environment that makes members feel at home. We exhibit genuine kindness and friendliness, creating strong interpersonal connections. The close-knit nature of the community allows for personal relationships and a sense of belonging. The church is equipped to handle challenges collaboratively and creatively. There is a palpable sense of excitement and engagement among members. A strong focus on prayer supports spiritual growth and community bonding. The church embodies and encourages a deep love and devotion to God. Due to the retirement of our most recent pastor, we find our congregation in search of first an interim, and ultimately a settled, pastor. Because of the current and long-term outlook on our financial situation, we recently voted to move from a full time to a half time pastor position. This is a time of learning for us: what can we expect from our new pastor, and what can we as a congregation learn to do that was once done by the pastor? The Rutland Congregational Church is searching for a pastor who can support and guide us during this time of change. We are seeking to build our membership, increase participation on church committees, and to become a more prominent component of our community. We want all to feel welcome in our church and to know and share the love God has for us. |
