Ministry Description |
This congregation remains strong in the conviction that God has a plan for FCUCC to continue its 190+year ministry in this community. We have a beautiful facility and are in a prosperous community that provides us with a great potential for growth. We look forward to challenging sermons, to help us see God’s will for our lives, and to help us deal with our own personal struggles as well as the troubling issues present in the world around us. Our goals include growing our church by attracting the next generation of families into the church, and strengthening current members' spiritual journey. We also look for more opportunities to increase outreach, so the community can better know who we are and what we stand for. By a unanimous vote, our congregation is proud to declare that we are an Open and Affirming Church. We want to be known as a diverse and welcoming church for all ages, races, ethnicities, and orientations. We strive to provide a safe and loving space that reaches out to everyone. We are now working to implement actions to reach the marginalized populations in our community. We continue to seek God’s voice in calling a spiritual leader who can work with us to grow and move forward. We pray for an energetic spiritual leader who welcomes a challenge and can help grow our ministry and spirit. God has a great plan for our church, and we look forward to finding the person God has chosen for us, to walk on this journey with us. |
