Ministry Description |
The Congregational Church of Burlington is a small community church where people truly care for God and one another. Currently we are searching for a 3/4 time Settled Pastor to help us continue to grow our church and its programs. Therefore, we are looking for someone with experience growing a congregation and supporting youth programs as attracting younger families is imperative for the life and legacy of our church. In 2023, we conducted a congregational survey to find out what our parishioners would like for our church and in a Pastor. It was evident that people would like our future Pastor to live nearby and be embedded in our church family and community at large. Pastoral Care was also identified as being of critical importance. Therefore, we are looking for a compassionate counselor who can relate to parishioners of all ages. Someone who is willing and able to meet with them in their time of joy and in their time of need. Our church also seeks a dynamic preacher who can deliver relatable sermons that are bible and or lectionary based as well as give inspirational children's messages. Our church leaders also would like to call a spiritual leader that can work well with our ministry teams to further our mission and vision of being a beacon of light in our community and spreading God's word to others while seeing to the operations of running the church and our ministries. It is also important to our congregants that we have a pastor who has a vision for faith formation and how to spiritually feed people of all ages through Christian education. We are eager to welcome a Settled Pastor who is a good fit for what we are looking for and who feels called by God to serve. |
