Pilgrim United Church of Christ is known in Fond du Lac for its progressive values, generousity and community engagement. Pilgrim Church has been described as a place with energy and acceptance. That spirit lives in our welcoming statement: No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, we believe you are a precious Child of God, regardless of ability, age, ethnicity, gender, race, sexual orientation, gender expression or socioeconomic status, and we welcome you with open hearts and minds. (Welcoming Statement - ONA covenant adopted by the congregation January 13, 2019) We are a theologically progressive Christian church where deepening faith goes hand-in-hand with pursuing social justice and honoring all voices. With Jesus as our model, we strive to live with compassion and integrity. Our active and engaged ministries, Open and Affirming, WISE(Welcoming, Inclusive, Supportive, and Engaged for Mental Health) Creation Justice and Safe Church are expressions of who we are and who we are becoming. We are seeking a settled pastor who inspires spiritual growth, fosters intergenerational connection, and offers compassionate guidance through effective teaching and ministry. We desire a collaborative who will walk beside us- encouraging us in our struggles, celebrating our joys, and joining us as we live out God's love of the world. Our pastor will be supported by a dedicated church council, music staff, education directors, technology support, and strong lay leadership. |
