Ministry Description |
Bethany UCC is an Open and Affirming Just Peace church that welcomes all, no matter who they are or where they might be on their faith journey. Bethany has a history of being active in the community of Randolph with an emphasis on volunteerism and outreach. Currently, we operate a temporary emergency housing apartment, initiated and helped create an independent child care center in our adjacent building, and are generous supporters of our sister city Myrhorod, Ukraine. Our spiritual life is rich and deep, with lay members taking on key parts of the worship service. We encourage member participation through Teams of Three, where any good idea can be explored and carried out with passion and conviction. We seek an interim pastor who will walk with us through our time of pastoral transition and guide us as we envision both our short and long-term future as people who aspire to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world. Ideally, this individual will possess good listening and communication skills, provide pastoral care to members, be tech comfortable or willing to learn, and will guide us in our church governance and community outreach. |
