Ministry Description |
Barre Congregational Church seeks a minister who will meet us where we are, recognize and celebrate our strengths, and help us improve our weaknesses. We want a leader who empowers and guides us to become lay leaders. As such, we will share the responsibility of being the church with our minister, as we strive to do God’s work in our lives and our community. We value the role that our minister will play in supporting our congregation through pastoral care, preaching, prayer, study groups, and activities inside and outside the church. We recognize that this role is a balancing act to both meet the needs of the church and play an active role in the community. We wish to empower leaders within our church to help support our new minister according to our strengths. We trust our new settled minister to discern how to apply their time, talents, strengths, and interests. We expect them to focus on the emerging demands of our congregation and our community while taking care of their personal needs. |
