Ministry Description |
La Selva Beach Community Church is an established Open and Affirming congregation seeking a settled pastor to guide a spiritually diverse church family. The church is located in a coastal village between Santa Cruz and Watsonville surrounded by ocean, farmland and wooded hills. The church serves a wide community spanning multiple counties and states (in person and via Zoom) comprised of families, retirees, self-employed and diverse occupations. We invite candidates whose theological background is progressive and inclusive, informed by the teachings of Jesus, while versed in other spiritual perspectives. We seek spiritual leadership that balances the nurturing of inner life, pastoral care/counseling and the pursuit of social justice. We seek candidates who will support us in serving the needs of the local and wider community. |
