Ministry Description |
The church was organized at Merritt in 1892 as the Congregational Church of Merritt and Biwabik. A town fire destroyed the original church and the congregation was relocated to the present site in Biwabik, MN. The building was continually growing and renovated throughout the years. In 1957 the General Counsel of the Congregational Church and Evangelical Reformed Church merged to become the Community United Church of Christ. Our church leadership includes a half time Pastor, a secretary (approximately 12 hours per month) an organist, a custodian, a church council which consists of a moderator, clerk, treasurer, two deaconess, two trustees, a financial secretary, a lay life representative, and our Fellowship group which oversees the organizing of pasty making and other church functions. |
