Ministry Description |
Mt. Tabor UCC is celebrating 140 years of community service. We seek a pastor who has experience and enthusiasm for children and youth. A pastor who has "a newspaper in one hand and a Bible in the other" and can deliver relatable sermons reaching across generations and demographics. As a rural church in a small town environment, we seek a pastor who visits the homebound and those who are sick or hospitalized. Involvement in area activities and events at Mt. Tabor is important for the fabric of our congregation. We seek a pastor who will help us ensure that Mt. Tabor UCC serves the present and helps lead the congregation into the future. Mt. Tabor is located just outside the Lexington, NC, city limits. The pace of life is easy. We are located just a few miles away from several larger cities in NC. Two excellent golf courses are nearby, as well as hunting and fishing. We are a community of caring and loving people who come together in our joys and crises and seek a pastor who can assist us care and love others. |
