Ministry Description |
The JCC is a federated church with joint affiliation with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the United Church of Christ (UCC). The JCC is also a Japanese American cultural center. First generation Japanese immigrants (Issei) founded the Japanese Church of Christ in 1918 to minister to the local Japanese community. As we embark on the next 100 years of the JCC we embrace the opportunity in partnership with a new pastor to move forward into the future by exploring areas unknown to us. Our ministry welcomes all who wish to attend our weekly worship services and fellowship. Working together to expand our vision for ministry, we seek a leader as we grow in: Spirit: Sharing the Love of God through bible study, worship service, and fellowship. Service to our congregation and greater community. Preserving the Culture & Engaging the Community: attracting new members by representing the JCC and engaging the community at cultural events and activities.
