Ministry Description |
The Charlemont Federated Church is a community-oriented Congregational church located in the beautiful hills of Western Massachusetts. We are looking for someone to worship with us on an interim basis as we discern our path forward and begin the search for a settled minister. We want someone at home in the pulpit. This position can be either half time or three-quarter time. The exact balance of preaching and pastoral care is negotiable and will depend on the applicant’s skills and desires. We have several interim tasks. We are looking for someone who will engage with us as we take stock, helping us examine our current structure and our relationship to change. We also seek help renewing our outreach to members and others in our community in the aftermath of the pandemic shutdown. We want someone to help us explore our strengths, our challenges, our gifts for ministry, and our call. We hope to find someone who will enjoy our rural setting near the Deerfield River, our rich music program, our sense of humor, and our diversity of religious backgrounds. We are a warm, welcoming group and look forward to meeting and working with our interim. |
