Ministry Description |
Lakeville United Church of Christ (LUCC) and North Congregational Church (NCC) are UCC congregations in neighboring communities located in beautiful Southeastern Massachusetts. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic full-time Designated Term Minister who will embrace this opportunity to let their inner light to shine by sharing their gifts! Both congregations emerged from the pandemic much differently than when they entered it. It was during 2021 when the words “possibilities” and “partnership” were first spoken. In 2022 LUCC’s interim minister also became NCC’s interim minister. We also shared a music director. A 6-month experimental partnership took place which was a success! In 2023 both churches agreed to enter into a Covenantal Partnership. Since that time, our search teams have combined and are excited and committed to search and call our new Designated Term Minister. Both LUCC and NCC are very active within their communities. We are known to many, but we would like to reach out to more. We proudly display our Pride and Diversity flags making clear our Open and Affirming stand. We have had several opportunities to combine our skills, gifts and time to help community organizations, neighbors, refugees and church members. We have found that we are stronger when working together and make more of a positive difference in the lives of more people. We are truly pleased with the growth in our partnership and where we are today, but there is greater excitement when we think about the possibilities of tomorrow! We are searching for a DTP who believes as we do, that our ministry is to welcome the stranger and meet their needs. We need a pastor to ground our faith, to optimize our mission efforts, and to love us for who we are. |
