Ministry Description |
St. John UCC - Lincoln, IL seeks a full-time minister to help us expand our church's horizons and welcome more diversity of nationalities, ages, education, and economic levels into our fellowship. We had a loving relationship with our previous pastor who had been with us for five years and has recently relocated to Galveston, TX. Our ministries are going well, and we are looking forward to the addition of some new programs in our future. However, we need worship leadership, pastoral care, staff management, and overall guidance for our church going forward. St. John UCC - Lincoln, IL has 118 members and, since COVID, have been enjoying a hybrid worship design. We have between 35 and 45 parishioners present in person on Sundays and have an additional 80 to 125 attending worship electronically via Facebook or through our website. Our church's physical facilities are used in support of various community organizations throughout the week. We are currently hosting the Lincoln YMCA afterschool program and will be supporting their summer day care program. We also sponsor and host both active Boy Scout and Cub Scout troops. Our facilities are also used by other community organizations from time to time. We take the statement very seriously, "No matter who you are or where you are from, you are welcome in this place." We are seeking a minister who uses scripture as a basis for leading us in growth of our faith, missions, and outreach ministries. To assist us on this journey, we are searching for someone to help link our rich heritage to our desired future in this ever-changing world.
