Ministry Description |
We are seeking a settled three-quarter time minister for a small and caring congregation. Founded in 1796 and situated in the heart of Cape Cod in the village of Centerville, we strive to be a “village church with a global perspective.” We seek to meet God’s call to advance God’s mission in the community and to sustain ourselves into the future, continuing our journey of faith through change. The new minister would help us move away from old ways of ‘doing church’ so we can more fully grow into Jesus’ extravagant love -- transitioning to new ways to sustain our faith community and enrich our congregation with new members. We would be blessed to have more diversity! We are an ONA congregation. At South Congregational Church you will find a friendly congregation with a lively music program and a faith family that cares for each other, welcome newcomers, and is active in mission activities. We are fortunate to live in a region that has attracted advocates committed to health, housing, human services, and environmental and social justice issues. Cape Cod is a place where one's work and service can make a noticeable and tangible difference in people’s lives. We are searching for an individual to invest themselves through the resources that God has given you - your energy, your prayers, your humor, and your drive - in this work to which God has called all of us.
