Ministry Description |
We are striving to be a church that is deeply inspired to be an active and committed church of the future. As our vision states, we are serving God by: growing in faith as we worship and learn, working for justice and equity, and building community through fellowship and service together. We seek a pastor who can help us in these efforts, gently shepherding members through change as we realize our vision. This pastor will help the church move forward together, inspiring our committees’ work, and encouraging us to succeed as individuals and teams. We would like a preacher who can convey messages that inspire us to be better people and join us in extending an extravagant welcome to all. We’d like someone who is dynamic enough to challenge traditions that do not align with our vision while honoring traditions that are meaningful to our congregation. It is important that our pastor help us as a congregation to effectively navigate conflict using our vision as a compass, while respecting varying levels of comfort and using our resources to work towards unity and consensus. |
