Ministry Description |
Despite challenges such as the pandemic, we have an active church life and strive to deepen a healthy congregational life, move beyond past wounds and unhelpful patterns, and expand a welcoming outreach to the community. We seek a pastor who will support that life of the church and who will help us discern what God is calling us to be as we move forward. This pastor should be familiar with UCC polity and be a leader who listens well to congregants and is willing to explore new possibilities of how we can help build the Kingdom of God. Like so many small-town churches our congregation has an aging and declining membership and a beautiful, vintage church building. Nevertheless, we are an active, vibrant part of the larger Mineral Point Community and have the reputation as the church that “gets things done” as we seek to discover what God is calling us to be. |
