Ministry Description |
Plymouth Congregational Church of Minneapolis Plymouth Congregational Church, located near downtown Minneapolis, is a large progressive faith community with a long history of doing outreach in the community, emphasizing the arts and welcoming LGBTQ people. In the past five years, we have had major changes in ministerial leadership. We seek an intentional interim minister to lead a process of discovery and change at Plymouth Church. We expect that the interim minister will help the congregation heal from past conflicts, clarify its identity and mission, build the congregational culture, and strengthen our community. In addition, the interim minister will help us review the workings of the relatively new governance system and determine our future ministry model. Intentional interim work will be the focus for this position. The interim minister may participate in the ministry of the church, and will serve in collaboration with our three-person ministry team, but will not be charged with running the church.
