Ministry Description |
Mystic Congregational Church is an Open and Affirming community of faith in which “Hope is alive and love is visible.” Our church’s mission is to “joyfully bring the Christian principles of faith, hope, and love to all through quality worship, education, fellowship, and outreach.” We attempt to organize our ministry activities around these four prongs of our mission. We are seeking an Associate Pastor who will work under the Senior Pastor to fulfill MCC’s mission, and who holds passion and skill to lead, nurture, and guide faith and spiritual formation across all age groups. The key responsibilities of the Associate Pastor will be to lead the Faith and Spiritual Formation programs, including children, youth, and adult ministries. These include but are not limited to: development and implementation of programming, managing Sunday School, planning and attending the annual youth service trip, running the Confirmation program, and leading adult programs. Additionally, the Associate Pastor will preach and lead worship once a month, provide outreach to our community, provide pastoral care to families, and participate in and communicate with the congregation via written, digital, and in-person platforms. We are eager and excited to welcome a new Associate Pastor to our warm and loving congregation. |
