Ministry Description Serving at the crossroads of what has been, what is and what will be, the Area Conference Ministry Team provides care and connection to the churches, clergy and Associations of the Southern New England Conference, guiding the covenantal processes that bind us to one another, and equipping the Body of Christ for faithful ministry in this time and place. The Area Conference Minister is an agent of transformation, listening for and amplifying the stirring of the Holy Spirit, inspiring and provoking the church to respond, and facilitating adaptive change while maintaining the covenantal processes that already exist. From Hartford to the Connecticut coastline, the ACM for the South Central Region will serve a diverse region with roughly 100 churches, 250 Authorized Ministers and 7 Associations. You will also join a collaborative and dynamic Area Conference Ministry Team. We seek someone who has a heart for the flourishing of the local church and who can inspire and encourage the Body of Christ to grow in living the love and justice of Jesus. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience serving in the local church, have served as staff or volunteer in the wider church, and a commitment to the mission, vision and values of Southern New England Conference. Along with your validated UCC Ministerial Profile, please submit a cover letter expressing why you feel called to this role and what gifts and grace you will bring to it.
