And yet, to paraphrase Admiral James Stockdale1 , we have unwavering faith that we will prevail as a pillar of our community and as a vessel for sharing God’s love. To ensure that we are the safe, supportive, enduring community that we envision, we need to get “back to basics.” If we want to set ourselves up for long-term stability and impact, then we need a minister whose strength and passion is preaching. |
