Ministry Description |
We, at St. Paul, are offering an innovative and exciting part-time opportunity for our new Pastor. We are open to and look forward to exploring new and exciting ideas. We are looking for someone who is creative and enthusiastic, who will deliver meaningful Scripture-based sermons. A Pastor who can help us continue to study and understand God’s Word as seen in the Scriptures. Someone who will continue to engage in the community and help our church to continue to grow, which we realize is a challenge in today’s world, especially with younger families. We also believe growth and outreach are the work of the whole Church, and not the Pastor alone. We have a congregational background and use a committee system to do the work of the church with a church council to oversee the committees. We do not expect the Pastor to do all the work, and we look forward to working together to get things accomplished. We put into practice the philosophy of the UCC when we say that: “no matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.” We are close to the Ann Arbor area for shopping and the University of Michigan Hospital Center for medical health, as well as close to both the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University for continuing education. We are about a half hour from downtown Detroit and the area of Greek Town, Ford Field for football, as well as Comerica Field for baseball, as well as the Detroit Zoo, and the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village.
