Ministry Description |
The United Congregational Church of Little Compton (UCCLC) seeks a full-time interim minister. We were sad to learn Rev. Rebecca Floyd Marshall will be leaving us, but we are happy for her. Rebecca was called to a thriving UCC church in Concord, MA. The United Congregational Church of Little Compton is an independently spirited 300-year-old iconic New England church. We want to find an interim minister of integrity, intelligence, warmth, and compassion. We seek a pastor with a sense of humor who loves their calling. We hope our interim minister will help and guide us through the process of finding a settled pastor. We are a theologically diverse congregation that thrives on inspiring, intellectually stimulating sermons based on the challenges in our daily lives. In our ONA-approved welcoming statement, we declare, “Whoever you are, wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome into the life ministry of the United Congregational Church of Little Compton.” We are a coastal community in Southeastern Rhode Island with an active year-round population complemented by many summer residents. Our members are seeking an interim minister who values children, youth, and elderly members. We are seeking an interim minister who will welcome and accept persons with divergent views and help people develop their spiritual lives. |
