Ministry Description |
Bostwick Lake Congregational UCC is a small church with 110 members, with an average Sunday attendance of 65 and is starting to grow again. We are optimistic about our future and hope to find a pastor who will work with us and guide us in our spiritual and membership growth. This position is for a Full-time Pastor. Job highlights include: Leading worship services, Visiting hospital patients and the seriously ill; Overseeing the Christian Education program for all ages; Inspiring, engaging in, and supporting the Missions of the church, Working with Council and Teams to facilitate successful administration of church facilities and activities and Being an active representative in local community activities. Our ideal candidate will be accepting of all people and ideas and will excel in the art of communication and relish the opportunity to make scripture come alive.
Rockford boasts four-season recreation, with beautiful lakes, hunting, fishing and scenic biking and walking trails, a village of unique boutiques, and exemplary schools. Nearby, the city of Grand Rapids hosts the world's largest Art Prize and is home to many craft breweries, wineries, restaurants, museums and world-renowned medical services. Only an hour from Rockford, Lake Michigan is available with its beautiful beaches and abundant activities.
