Ministry Description |
Locust Grove UCC is a friendly, loving congregation. It is a church that likes to socialize together, serve the community, and share the love of Christ. We are small in numbers but we are mighty. When we have a drive to gather items for homeless veterans or children needing food in the summer months, our members come through. We fill pews with the needed items.. We are a church that loves God and is blessed by wonderful members. We are seeking a Pastor to provide weekly sermons based on Biblical passages that touch the congregation in a way that is relatable and relevant to our lives in the world today. The Pastor should interject real life stories to tie the message to the Bible. Additionally the Pastor will provide a children's message as needed. Visiting shut-ins, sick, and those families in grief is important to the congregation. The Pastor will also support the congregation's outreach programs and participate in our church activities to promote and maintain community within the congregation. |
