Ministry Description |
Hayden, CO, is a rural community in a beautiful part of God's creation in northwest corner of Colorado. Hayden is a quiet, caring place, and has a long history of ranching, farming and mining. Our community is close-knit and looks out for one another. The church is theologically moderate. Our church’s mission is to “…encourage spiritual growth, to worship God together, to build loving relationships among and between our members and community, to invite everyone into harmony with God, to be Christ's humble servants to human need, and to be respectful to God and all creation.” Though our congregation is getting older, we maintain a deep love for children and their families and creating opportunities for their spiritual formation. We also have a deep commitment to being active in our community and looking for ways to meet needs in the wider community. We value scripture-based lessons that are relevant to current day life. We are diverse in our appreciation of traditional vs contemporary styles of worship and are agreeable to a blend or a variety, as long as there is a familiar structure to the service. We would also be open to alternative services to be more inclusive and attractive to the larger community. We are seeking a family and youth-oriented person who lives their faith, is generous and caring, and is a good administrator. |
