Elk River, Union - Want Ad for Three-quarters Pastoral Position Union Congregational Church, United Church of Christ is a shining example of progressive theology, thought, and action in the more conservative city of Elk River, Minnesota, about 35 miles northwest of the Twin Cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Our lovely, historic church is nestled in an older neighborhood, just off the city center. Our congregation will be celebrating our 150th anniversary in 2025. We are an Open and Affirming, Earthwise, Justice Seeking Congregation. We are searching for a settled minister to work three-quarter time, with the potential to become full-time in the future. We are open to conversation on this topic. We are seeking a minister to work with an older congregation, looking to grow younger. They should be engaging and encouraging behind our shared values. A collaborative partner with lay leadership is also very important to us. Our Shepherd must be guided by a strong commitment to welcome whoever walks earnestly through our doors. Union Church embraces diversity and provides ministry and support to all persons, regardless of where they are on their life journey. As a Christ-focused congregation, we support our community through collaborative action with several service-oriented groups and are open to future options as well. Union Church enjoys an engaging worship service, a strong music program, and a vibrant after church fellowship. We are currently worshiping in-person and virtually, through Facebook. |
