NOTE: THIS POSITION IS FOR CONTRACTED PULPIT SUPPLY (6 MONTHS MIN W/ OPTION TO EXTEND) The Congregational Church of Park Manor is an older, established neighborhood church with a rich history. We are older, involved congregation with long term members who are looking for leadership in a time of change, seeking half-time pulpit supply pastor, designated-term (6 months with option to extend) for a small church with big ideas! We seek a minister who is caring and out-going; one who will “preach, teach, and visit the sick and bereaved.” We value communication, music and spiritual growth and our time of worship with sermons that are intellectually challenging, thought provoking, skillfully rendered and that touch our daily lives. We are looking to a future that will require us to consider new partnerships, new uses for our building, and new initiatives for community outreach. We want to continue efforts to strengthen our connections with current members, so we need a leader, who is compassionate, personable and willing to work with a struggling group of good people. Though not wealthy, The Congregational church of Park Manor is financially stable and without debt. We are a congregation of about 100 members, averaging 60 on-line worshipers and 40 Active members who carry on the work of the church. We have a Governing Board that consist of Diaconate Board, Board of Trustees, as well as Chairpersons of other Ministries and Committee. There is also a Church Moderator, and a Vice Moderator. |
