Ministry Description |
Our church is dedicated to bringing family-oriented and community engaging services to our church and the community. When we get to that point, we would have broken down barriers related to differences and embraced that we are all God’s children. We all have talents, gifts, and abilities that we can unite in giving glory to God. We need to stop out of our comfort zone and experience a new birthing of how our faith become action-oriented and where God is leading us. We need educational forums to help us learn more about our culture and about what values are dear to us. We are seeking help of our association, our church members and leaders, and our supportive community. Our vision is for the minister to help our congregation to “decrease the walls” that divide and have a more open fellowship with the community We envision our next minister to collaborate with the congregation to achieve the following: 1. Help the church to become more involved in community outreach. 2. Develop education ministries for the church (Bible Studies, Men and Women Fellowship, Youth Studies/Programs, Healthcare, Social Justice Programs, etc.). 3. Lead the congregation in strategies to increase youth involvement in our church and the community. 4. Increasing our knowledge and involvement within the Eastern Virginia Association and Southern Conference. |
