Ministry Description |
Castalia Congregational United Church of Christ maintains tradition in our almost 200-year-old church with a healthy dose of the current world’s outlets of ministry while being open to new ideas. We are seeking someone to fill our needs permanently at half time with potential to grow. Salary and benefits are to follow conference guidelines but are negotiable. Currently no parsonage is available. Church membership is currently about 340 with an average of 50 members attending each week. Although we no longer have a website, we reach several families through Facebook. Reaching an average of 90 homes a week by streaming our services online. Regular online viewers tune in from Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, and North Carolina. Here at Castalia Congregational United Church of Christ we are proud of many things. The ability to step up when the congregation, building, and community are in need tops that list. The longevity of our church is simply amazing. Some families have called this church home for 6+ generations as the church is almost 200 years old. Continuously giving back to our community through our missions; Victory Kitchen, Care and Share, Crossroads, Hope Homes just to name a few. Our most recent venture will begin in Fall 2023 when the church will be used an additional 5 days a week for the students at Margaretta Local Schools to learn through a Bible study with Life Wise Academy. |
