Are you inspired by the idea of utilizing your unique talents, skills, and brilliance to minister to a 355-year old neighborhood church with a committed congregation, forward-thinking leadership, and a long-standing history of meaningful mission outreach? First Church (FCCOG) seeks a compassionate, engaging, and self-starting Associate Pastor with skill and passion for worship, faith formation and managing all pastoral care opportunities. Our ordained (or soon to be ordained) full-time Associate Pastor will work alongside our Senior Pastor in areas of leadership and innovation; to rethink and envision what it means to be a church in the 21st Century. With 730 active members, FCCOG recently completed a $1.5M capital improvement program and continues to provide a landmark centerpiece in the Old Greenwich/Riverside community. The on-campus parsonage offers an easy walk or bike ride to the village, beach, recreational facilities, library, and train station with service to New York City. Here at FCCOG, Christian Outreach is a core fabric of our ministry across all age groups. We partner with diverse groups in the wider community, not only locally and nationally, but also internationally. Church education and pastoral care are cornerstones in all that we do, and the Associate Pastor is an integral part of that leadership. First Church is a joyful community, diverse in spiritual backgrounds and beliefs, open and affirming; a neighborhood church home that welcomes all, celebrates life, and is a place for people in time of need.
