Ministry Description Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ (PCUCC) seeks a Pastor to share the church’s vision for its growth and future. PCUCC is predominantly African American, progressive-oriented and believes in social justice and social action. The congregation partners with the pastor to ensure the implementation of essential church functions, enabling the pastor to focus on ministerial and managerial duties. PCUCC seeks an individual who can mobilize the congregation’s growth with a focus on youth and young adults, while still capturing the gifts of its seasoned members, and engaging a culturally diverse community. PCUCC seeks an individual who is able to assist the members enrich their Biblical knowledge, reflect the life of Jesus, witness locally and globally, and seek justice for the marginalized. Scope of work • Preach and teach the Gospel, within cultural and historical context • Conduct worship, liturgical rites and sacraments • Facilitate participation in community activities and social action • Increase church membership • Serve as administrative head of the church staff • Collaborate with lay leadership to coordinate ministries
